Community Service Opportunities

Disciples of Christ are not only involved in their family of faith, but are also active in the greater community, healing hurts and ministering to the effects of sin and fallenness. Selfless acts of service testify to those around us that God cares about them and that the Spirit of Christ is alive in his people.

Our contact with friends, family, neighbors, and co-workers provide opportunities for this kind of ministry. However, there are many lives that can only be touched when we extend outside our comfort zones and normal sphere of influence. Christians must address glaring inadequacy, confront devastating poverty, and expel relational isolation. To do this, they must often go where few are willing to venture and embrace those usually ignored.

Below you will find several opportunities to do good in our neighborhood by volunteering your time and effort. Click on any organization in the list to read a brief description, discover areas of possible involvement and to view their contact information.
