George Yacus - Elder

George sees his goal growing the Lord’s church and also providing a climate where each member will spiritually mature and follow the narrow path to heaven. He is a native of Warren, NJ and served for 20 years in the Navy as a helicopter pilot.
Professionally, he is a supervisor for a dozen internal business consultants in the U.S. Coast Guard. His colleagues and he work with various Coast Guard units to improve their management practices. He has also served on several not-for-profit boards of directors in various leadership positions.
Academically, he holds a Ph.D. in Management from Old Dominion University, and teaches management courses at ODU and other institutions. He hold a Masters of Science in Management from the Naval Postgraduate School, a Masters in Urban Studies from ODU, and a B.S. in Political Science from the U. S. Naval Academy.
Personally, he is married to Alana Yacus and has two children, a daughter Lara Chapman and a son George Michael Yacus. His hobbies include boating, aviation, motorcycles, and playing in a classic rock band, The Phun Doctors.
