Benevolence
We consider internal and external benevolence requests on a case-by-case basis, providing financial/spiritual counseling and/or material aid as appropriate for the specific case. We prayerfully consider every request to determine whether it fits within our budget. We might provide a food card, a small amount of cash for a specific item, or a larger amount that must be approved by the elders. Often we encourage recipients to receive financial planning or counseling.

Financial Peace University
Money is mentioned 140 times in the KJV. If we include the words gold, silver, wealth, riches, inheritance, debt, poverty, and related topics, it turns out that the Bible pays a great deal of attention to financial matters -- more than nearly any other subject.

Many would be surprised that Jesus spoke about money more times than he spoke about heaven and hell. In fact, He talked about money more than any topic except the kingdom of God. Eleven of the thirty-nine parables in Scripture talk about money. Money is on our minds most of the time. One of the biggest “worries” that many have is surrounding the topic of money. Money is the universal symbol for greed. Jesus used this topic because we all can relate. We need money to survive and we all have an inner desire to have more.

Although Bayside has ceased to actively conduct “In Person” Financial Peace University classes, we encourage those for whom we provide benevolence, and those desiring to be more well-informed on making ends meet, to attend this financial training.

Contact Bayside for more info, or go to Dave Ramsey's Site, or click on the graphic to go to Financial Peace University class listings.

Service Projects
We provide service projects four to six times a year to provide a forum for members to actively participate in service to others. We design the projects to involve as many different talents and age groups as possible. In some cases we offer multiple projects at the same time in order to accommodate different interests and community needs. The service activities support church members, the community, or national projects.

Sweet Inspiration
We provide a women’s music ministry dedicated to praising and glorifying the Lord through song. Sweet Inspiration responds to requests from many organizations, especially senior living facilities to encourage their residents. Participants are expected to sing well, commit to regularly scheduled rehearsals, and strive to improve their talent in order to provide a meaningful experience for their audiences.

Visitation
We identify individuals in the congregation that cannot physically participate with the body of believers in our worship assemblies or other church activities. We assign church leaders, members of the staff, and/or members of the congregation to visit them in order to provide encouragement to those who are not able to be with us.

Visitor Follow-up
We send messages of appreciation to our visitors, thanking them for encouraging us with their visit. We ask whether there are questions that they may have that were not answered during their visit. We offer to help them in any way we can on their walk with Christ. It a visitor is from the local area, we ask whether they are interested in becoming a member of the congregation.
