Real Life

Bayside has a significant number of young adults who find themselves in a variety of life stages. Some are single, others are married, even some with children. Some are in college, while others are trying to figure out what their next step in life is. They may have dead-end jobs, or perhaps full blown careers, but one thing they all have in common is their love for Christ and his community.
Young adulthood can be a difficult but exciting period of life. The Bayside church wants to partner with those in this life stage so that they can be the joyous, loving, and faithful disciples they want to be.
Young adults are expected to be a full and contributing part of Bayside’s body life; however, we also know that those in their twenties need connecting, growing, and serving opportunities that are tailored to them. In addition to the corporate worship assemblies and equipping opportunities available on Sunday mornings, there has also been a time set aside for young people to gather. This gathering time is called Real Life. Real Life meets in the Family Life Center on the church campus at 7:15 p.m. most every Wednesday (depending on our Adult Education calendar). We study scripture and share small group discussions about how it applies to our lives.
Periodically the group joins in opportunities for service. Sometimes this takes place on Wednesdays at 7:00 p.m., other times it occurs when the opportunity presents itself. The group has been involved in acts of love such as assembling food and hygiene packets for homeless children, and working a community garden to assist in bringing healthy food to those with little income. Young adults are asked to bring their ideas to the table so we can serve in ways that apply directly to the people and things they care about. Any interested participants are welcome to be a part of the leadership of the young adult group at Bayside.
If you are a young person looking for real life in Christ and the support of others seeking the same, join us for a journey into deeper faith. Let’s connect, grow, and serve together.
