2008 At A Glance

Below is a list and explanation of the events that you would expect to find during the year in the Bayside Youth Ministry.

Service Projects:
From time to opportunities and projects arise for the teens that we take on in order to serve our Church family an our community.

Youth Group:
Sunday Nights we get together as a Youth Ministry for a time of worship.

H.B.S.
A home based Bible study for High School students which digs a little deeper than Youth Group or our other Bible study times.

Ski Trip
A chance for our group to “hit the slopes” and enjoy some fellowship.

Lads to Leaders Convention
The annual convention is held in Orlando, Florida and participant in this event range in age from 1st Grade – 12th Grade.

Wednesday Night Bible Study

Spring Retreat
This retreat provides an opportunity for growth in unity and faith and takes advantage of the spring weather.

30-Hour Famine
Facilitated by World Vision, the 30-Hour Famine give our teens an chance to see what it is like to go hungry for 30-hours. Combined with a Lock-In to help distract their appetites, this event raised money for starving people all of the the world.

IMPACT @ Lipscomb University
A camp hosted by Lipscomb University in Nashville, TN. There is a session for Middle School and for High School.

High School Mission Trip

Jr. High Work Camp
A smaller version of our mission trip done locally for our Middle School aged teens to have an opportunity to spend the week in ministry.

Camp Idlewild
A Christian Church camp experience in July.

Family Canoe Trip
This trip is designed with families in mind. A chance for all families in our Church family to spend a weekend away on the river.

5th Quarter
A Fall outreach event where High School students can come to the building after their football games on Friday nights and “hang-out”, play games and enjoy each other company.

Power House
A youth rally hosted by the Fairfax Church of Christ in Fairfax, Virginia. This rally is hosted every other year.

Daughters of the King
This rally is for girls only and takes place at the Fairfax Church of Christ opposite the years of Power House.

New Years Eve Lock-In
A chance for the teens and adults in our ministry to spend some time in reflection on the past year, and bring in another year together.
